Hanson Traditional Cream Mechanical Kitchen Scale

- Clean the surface with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- Do not use solvents or harsh and abrasive cleaning products.
- Do not immerse the scale in water.
- Do not put anything on the scale when it is not being used.

- Press the "Power Button"
- If the scale is not used for more than 3 minutes, it will automatically turn off.

SPECIAL DISPLAY SIGNALS
- "Low Battery": The batteries are drained and have to be replaced. Remember to dispose of them in conformity to your country’s waste disposal laws.
- "STOP" The weight of the ingredients or container exceeds maximum capacity (5 kg/11 lb).
- The minus sign appears when you calculate tare and remove the container from the scale pan. To cancel tare and reset the display, remove all weights.

How to weigh ingredients
- Select the gradation in grams or ounces with the selector under the scale.
- Press to turn on the scale. After 2-3 seconds, the display will show: 0:0
- Put the ingredients to be weighed on the scale pan: the display will show their weight.
- If the scale is not used for more than 3 minutes, it will automatically turn off to save the batteries.

How to calculate tare
- Put a container on the scale: the display will show its weight.
- Press "Tare" and the display will show: 0:0
- Remove the container: the display will show the weight of the container preceded by a minus sign .
- Put the ingredients in the container: the display will show the weight of the ingredients alone. The scale automatically subtracts the weight of the container from the ingredients you put on the scale until you cancel the tare.
- To cancel the tare, remove all weights from the scale pan and press .

How to add an ingredient to another ingredient
- Weigh the first ingredient and press "Tare". The display will show: 0:0. Add the second ingredient: the display will show the weight of the second ingredient.

Open the battery compartment under the scale. Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) in the compartment as illustrated inside it and then close the compartment.
